Three titles from the 2015 Sundance Film Festival in America are to be screened at Sheffield’s Doc/Fest this summer.
Chernobyl thriller The Russian Woodpecker, rape culture on university campuses expose The Hunting Ground and archive-based The Black Panthers: Vanguard of the Revolution will all be screened.
Claire Aguilar, Doc/Fest’s Director of Programming and Industry Engagement, said: “These films are excellent and captivating examples of brilliant documentaries today.
“We take a look back to the origins, personalities and legacy of the Black Panther Party, experience a heart-gripping reality check on sexual assault on U.S. college campuses, and experience the struggle for freedom in Ukraine.”
Sheffield Doc/Fest takes place from June 5 to 10.
