Titan-ic aid for young readers

A SOUTH Yorkshire rugby club have been given a cash boost to help their work with young people.

Rotherham Titans were awarded 10,000 from the local charity Help a Hallam Child for their work helping young people to become better readers.

The money was handed over to Titans representatives Nigel Conroy and Phil Boulton at the club’s Clifton Lane ground by Hallam FM’s Big Breakfast presenter Big John.

The Titans Community Foundation sets out to help local young people through a series of education, health and sports programmes.

Players and coaches have worked with more than 7,000 young people.
