What better way to raise money for a South Yorkshire charity than being covered head to toe in bubbles?
A sea of colour has taken over Locke Park as the people of Barnsley prepare to take on Bubble Rush, to raise funds for its local hospice.
On our way in, we passed foamy monsters from the last wave, and Imogen can barely contain her anticipation at diving headfirst into the bubbles once again.
This always popular event is as much fun as it sounds, striding and jogging through the scenic park in glorious sunshine as foam shoots and pours out at us from five different ‘bubble stations’ positioned along the route. As the bubbles get higher, the laughter gets louder. I can’t think of a better way to raise money for such a worthy cause.
