Internet star Adam Moran, better known as Beard Meets Food, took on the mega eating challenge at Ben’s Pizza in Hackenthorpe, Sheffield as part of his youtube series called ‘munch box memoirs.’

Beard Meets Food is currently the UK’s number one ranked competitive eater and spends most of his time travelling around the world to compete in super eating challenges involving colossal portion sizes.

His latest challenge saw him take on the Mighty Quadzilla Box – a 20-inch pizza box filled with two pizzas, four burgers, onion rings, cheesy chips, Mozzarella sticks, and coleslaw but he was eventually defeated after 39 minutes.

Ben’s Pizza said: “I was extremely excited that beard chose us out of all the takeaways in South Yorkshire alone.

“We have never had a food challenge at our shop before; beard suggested taking on the Mighty Quadzilla Box meant for a family of four.”

More than 200,000 people have watched the video, which was uploaded to Youtube last week.

Ben’s Pizza has now released the challenge for anyone who can stomach it – it involves eating the undefeated Mighty Quadzilla box in under 35 minutes to win a free meal as well as a £25 voucher to spend at the store.

The eating challenge will need to be recorded and sent to the shop via their Facebook account.

They said: “Now that beard has taken on this challenge, I have posted on social media our first ever challenge, so there might be plenty more to come in the near future.”

The internet sensation who has attracted a Youtube following of around 1.3 million people says that a combination of weight training and healthy eating when not competing has helped him stay in great shape despite eating thousands of calories in his videos.

In 2015, The professional eater from Leeds won the Yorkshire Pudding Eating World Championships in North Yorkshire and also set a world record for most McDonald’s chicken nuggets eaten in one sitting.
