Singer-songwriters, bands and DJs have been confirmed for an event taking place this weekend at an event beside Sheffield’s picturesque canal.

Taking place this Sunday, June 23, a joint event with Dorothy Pax and mental health charity Sheffield Flourish will see more than half a dozen artists perform at Victoria Quays between 2pm and 8pm.

The event has a ‘pay what you feel’ entry fee, and is being held to raise money for Oasis, a Sheffield Flourish mental health-friendly gardening and food growing enterprise, for people from “all walks of life”.

Produce from Oasis will be on sale at the event, along with a raffle, food stall, and hopefully some sunshine.

What artists are performing at Dorothy Pax?

Tucked away in the gorgeous surroundings of Victoria Quays, Dorothy Pax will be hosting eight artists with a variety of musical styles. These are:

  • Open Door - a jamming group who will perform some of their favourite covers, sharing the joy and connection that comes from their shared love of music.
  • Dorian Seven - with an eclectic fusion of original urban vibes, offering soup for the soul that's easy on the ear.
  • Bitten Whippet - four-piece band that combines indie influences with an edgy twist.
  • The Rebel Art Centre - featuring drums, guitars, bass, trumpet, and keyboards, with diverse influences.
  • Ceejay & The Misfits - with punky urban folk.
  • Jemma Rosenthal - a singer-songwriter and producer known for her "angelic" voice and eclectic music style.
  • WaterBear - WaterBear College of Music will be bringing some of their talented students to perform acoustic sets outside.
  • DJs Harry and Annie - With a mix of 80s, post-punk, new wave and synth pop.

A spokesperson for the event said: “We'd love you to join us on a pay what you feel basis and enjoy the mental health friendly atmosphere and music on offer.”
