These restaurants, takeaway places and catering firms can deliver Christmas dinner straight to your door in the Peak District

Christmas is usually one of the busiest times of year for restaurants in the Peak District when they pull out all the stops to create extravagant seasonal menus.

But the imposition of Tier 3 restrictions on the National Park means diners won’t be able to eat in at venues until rules are relaxed – creating an air of uncertainty about hospitality businesses’ festive prospects.

However, several places have already announced that they will be offering complete Christmas meals for customers to enjoy at home, taking all the hassle out of buying and preparing a Yuletide feast.

Noble House Prepared

Launched by catering business Noble House Events with food prepared by chefs who learned at Gordon Ramsay’s restaurants, this service will deliver traditional turkey and all the trimmings, beef and vegan options to customers. It can all be cooked in under an hour and consists of frozen mains, sides and desserts, with prices from £44. Drinks including wines and fizz are available too. (https://noblehouseprepared.com)

The Corner Cupboard

The Corner Cupboard cafe in Buxton delivers in and around the town. On its festive menu there is a pigs-in-blankets hoagie – a large submarine sandwich for the unfamiliar – as well as an enormous Christmas dinner served in a big tray. The esteemed restaurant in Baslow is continuing its Fischer’s at Home service for Christmas. Head chef Nathan Wall and his team have created what’s described as the ‘ultimate Christmas Day lunch’ for a minimum of two, four, or six people – importantly, this is only available for collection on Christmas Eve. The White Lion gastropub is delivering decidedly festive roasts on Sundays to Great Longstone, Little Longstone, Wardlow, Hassop, Rowland, Ashford in the Water and Bakewell. Delivery costs £1 on top of the price of the meal. The venue has prepared an elaborate Christmas menu but has not yet confirmed whether this will be available for delivery. Regan George Catering Services

This company is offering freshly cooked one, two or three course Christmas dinners for delivery throughout Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire in December. A three-course dinner for one is priced £19.95 and delivery costs £2. “Imagine Christmas Day with all of the amazing food but none of the stress of cooking it,” the firm says.
