These Sheffield pubs and restaurants are all extending offers on meals in October with their own version of Eat Out to Help Out

The numbers show that the Government’s Eat Out to Help Out scheme was a major hit with diners, as discounts for more than 100 million meals at pubs, restaurants and cafes were claimed throughout the month of August.

The initiative, which ran from Monday to Wednesday each week, offered 50 per cent off food with a maximum reduction of £10 per person.

Meals had to be ‘eaten in’ rather than taken away, and businesses claimed the discounted sum back from HMRC.

Many places in Sheffield extended Eat Out to Help Out – or ran similar deals – at their own expense throughout September, and the same is happening in October.

Here are 15 venues where people can eat for less in the city this month.
