South Yorkshire's 'Farmer Rob' helps families delve into farm-life with daily videos and live broadcasts

The team at Cannon Hall Farm were among the first to announce they would be closing their doors to visitors earlier this month, in line with government recommendations.

But life on the farm is never quiet for long, and farmers Robert, David, and Roger have still been busy caring for the many animals that the family-run farm and attraction houses.

And now families across the region – and, in fact, the globe – are able to tune in to see how the farming family is faring, with daily videos and live broadcasts from the farm’s Facebook page.

Farmer Robert said: “We know it must be really difficult for people, we’ve all had to make changes and those people who are isolating must feel really lonely at times.

“We are just trying our best to adapt - and keep going for as long as we can.

“We don’t have unlimited funds but we will try our best to get through this.

“We’ve had some tough days, but we are trying our best.

“We know people enjoy our live broadcasts and we are lambing anyway so we thought why not share it all and spread a bit of spring cheer?”
