17. Quiet remembrance
The VE Day commemorations - 75 years on since the surrender of Nazi Germany - had to be revised because of the pandemic. Chair of the Sheffield and District Joint Council of Ex-Service Associations, Pat Davey, laid a single wreath at the war memorial in Barker's Pool in May. Photo: Brian Eyre
18. A city in lockdown
Sheffield city centre was eerily quiet during the first national lockdown, when life came to a standstill in an unprecedented way. This is Surrey Street on April 28. Photo: Brian Eyre
19. One way in the corridor
Children had to quickly adapt to new ways of doing things in order to keep schools running - children are pictured here at Charnock Hall Academy using a one-way system in a corridor. Photo: Brian Eyre
20. Recalling the Blitz

Codenamed Operation Crucible by the Germans, the bombs hit sites including The Moor and killed about 70 people at the Marples Hotel on Fitzalan Square.
