Sheffield venue Kommune hosts pop-up postcard-sized art show

Green City is a pop-up exhibition of postcard-sized work for one weekend only at Kommune in the transformed former Sheffield Co-op department store on Angel Street.

The exhibition includes more than 70 works and has been devised and curated by arts organisation Fronteer, made up of husband and wife duo Michael Borkowsky and Sharon Mossbeck.

They say: “The exhibition comes at an exciting time with the current redevelopment of the Castlegate area of Sheffield, and Kommune is right at the heart of the action.

“Fronteer are passionate about the changes in the area, and are proud to contribute to the current cultural reawakening which is happening in Castlegate.”

The exhibition is open 11am to 6pm on Saturday (August 17) and Sunday.

A late opening evening event takes place on Saturday from 7.30-9pm. Everyone is welcome.

There is also a drop-in postcard-making workshop from 11am to 5.30pm each day.

Admission is free.
