And already his campaign to give up chocolate bars for a whole month has raised a fantastic £200 for South Yorkshire youth homelessness charity Roundabout.

“I’ve been amazed by the response up to now,” said Matthew, who is a finance assistant with the charity.

“I’d seen other people giving up things to raise money for good causes and thought that would be a good way to support Roundabout.

“I do eat quite a lot of chocolate - I have to admit that’s it’s usually a daily thing but I’m sure I can do it.

“The first day wasn’t too bad but I think that by day 20 it might be getting a bit more difficult.”
