Sheffield care team give helping hand to dementia charity

Sheffield home care providers are raising money for Dementia UK with a ‘time for a cuppa’ day.

Helping Hands Sheffield based on Hutcliffe Wood Road in Beauchief, are running the event on Tuesday, May 18 from 9.30am to 5.30pm.

The firm supply home care to the elderly and disabled in all areas of Sheffield and decided to support the charity as they are dementia specialists.

Lots of big and small companies have donated raffle prizes and the draw will be held on Facebook Live at 5pm on the day.

Donors include Next, Co Op, Sheffield Videogames Museum and Gullivers Valley. Details of prizes are on the Helping Hands Sheffield Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Tickets are 50p each or three for £1, available from the office, calling 0114 478 9621 or emailing [email protected].

There is also a Just Giving page set up by Abbey Cassidy at Just Giving (justgiving.com).

The total amount raised is already up to £800.

Helping Hands are also running dementia workshops on Tuesday for anyone that needs help or advice and a recruitment day where potential candidates can drop in to an interview there and then.
