Sheffield All Saints Church celebrates 'God's acre' with special outdoor-themed events

A Sheffield church is celebrating its outdoor space with a special series of events.

The event at All Saints Church in Ringinglow Road, Ecclesall is called Caring for God’s Acre and runs from June 5 to 12.

The celebration starts with an open gardens event on Saturday (June 5) from 2pm to 5pm, beginning with a guided prayer walk.

There’s an opportunity to give thanks for families of people buried in the churchyard at 1.30pm on Sunday 6, plus a chance to look for the churchyard wildlife from 2-4pm and an In Conversation event at 6pm, focused on climate change.

On Wednesday 9 at noon, Vicar Mark Brown, a former science teacher, reflects on the intricate balance between science and faith.

At 4pm, you can meet Bentley the dog, learn about foraging and take your own pet along in the churchyard.

On June 12 at 11am, meet at the Ringinglow entrance for a guided churchyard walk.
