Opening hours extended at Sheffield artist Pete McKee's gallery

An art gallery showcasing the work of celebrated Sheffield artist Pete McKee is set to extend its opening hours and will now be open on Sundays.

The artist’s gallery on Sharrow Vale Road reopened on Thursday, April 15, following the easing of some coronavirus restrictions.

The McKee gallery’s opening have now been extended and it will now be closed on Mondays and open from 1pm until 4pm on Tuesdays; from 10am until 5pm on Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays and from 11am until 4pm on Sundays.

Only two households will be allowed in a time, visitors must socially distance, wear a mask and use the hand sanitiser provided and use a card to pay where possible.

Pete has been busy online during the pandemic, including putting on art classes for children and holding two web-based exhibitions of new work.

He has recently contributed to the Bears of Sheffield sculpture trail, in aid of Sheffield Children’s Hospital Charity.
