Jordan, who lives near Ecclesfield, said: "I used to go to America with my family on holidays - the food there is amazing and I really enjoyed it.

"The idea for the pop up started when I was head chef at The Schoolhouse in South Normanton.

"It's going to be something of a sharing concept, where people can order a few mains and sides and then they come out on a sharing platter that everyone can dip into."

The Hillsborough Hotel is hosting Soul Food for another pop up tomorrow, Friday September 6.

Jordan said: "We're in talks about doing a takeover at Table in Cutlery Works and hopefully once a week at Union Street as well.

"I'm just concentrating on this at the moment and we would like to take it to more places."

Soul Food also returns to Union Street this Friday, September 6, after a successful launch.
