Bosses have until now remained tight-lipped about the exact opening date, but the video reveals it is due to open in just three months’ time this June.

A tour of the 250-acre site, which will eventually boast more than 70 rides and other attractions, includes a first look at rides including the T-Rex Tower, Desperado Drop and a ‘360-degree flying experience’ called Gyrosaur.

In Toyland, we see the carousel, ferris wheel, Rockin’ Tug boat and working diggers which families will get to enjoy.

In Western World, we hear more about the rapids of the Apache Falls, the Sioux City Express and Prairie Ponies, and learn about the chance to experience bank heists, jail excapes and maybe even a western-style duel.

Over in the Lost World, we are shown the T-Rex Tower, Lost World River Tour and Paragliders, get a first look at plans for the Gyrosaur and come face to face with one of the fearsome dinosaurs which will be stalking the zone.

And in Smugglers Wharf, we get to see the Ghostly Galleon and Blackbeard’s Barrels, which have already proved a family favourite at Gulliver’s Kingdom in Matlock Bath.
