Jools Holland has postponed his upcoming concert in Sheffield and moved the date to 2021.

The pianist, who tours annually in autumn and winter with his Rhythm and Blues Orchestra, said he felt ‘sadness and disappointment’ at the need to push back this year’s run of shows.

The date at Sheffield City Hall on December 3, 2020, has been rescheduled for November 26, 2021.

Holland, who normally juggles live commitments with his duties presenting the long-running music programme Later… on BBC television, said: “Since the age of 17, I have spent my entire life performing on tour. Therefore, it is with sadness and disappointment that myself, my orchestra and our special guests have been forced to postpone our autumn and winter shows.

His 31-date 2020 tour was due to kick off in Southend, Essex on October 29 and end in Leeds on December 20.

Ticketholders will be contacted by their point of purchase to move their tickets. Customers who cannot attend can apply for a refund up until October 30, 2020.
