According to Clark Farms, their turkeys are “slow growing to maturity, thus giving the turkey time to develop a layer of natural fat which makes them very moist and full of flavour.”

They also sell geese, chickens, beef, pork and hams, for those who do not fancy turkey for their Christmas dinner.

And for those wanting to make their Christmas meat-free, Sheffield institution, Beanies, offers a range of vegetarian and vegan alternatives including a Tofurky roast, as well as a cranberry and cashew nut roast, and vegan sweet treats such as fudge, Christmas puddings and panetonne.
