There are plenty of things happening in South Yorkshire from October 24 to November 1, ranging from pumpkin-carving and drive-in films for Halloween to lessons in how to fish.

5. Meersbrook Halloween Trail
Houses in Meersbrook, Sheffield, will be decorated with a Halloween theme from October 26 to November 1 - the idea is families with young children can 'go for a wander and spot the decorated houses in their areas', organisers say. 6. Wild Play at Ecclesall Woods

7. Daisy Dukes Drive-In Halloween Experience
