The Quays Hotel – formerly the Sheffield Hilton which closed late last year - has re-opened its extensive facilities featuring a spa, extensive gym and studios plus a 20m swimming pool to non-residents.
And there’s a familiar face running the leisure facilities, where there was a membership of 1,400, with the return of Paul Smith as leisure club general manager.

One of the UK’s leading independent hotel management companies, Legacy Hotels & Resorts has been appointed to re-open the four-star hotel and leisure club over the coming weeks following its closure late last year when Hilton surrendered its lease on the property.
Legacy Hotels & Resorts Chief Executive Officer Andy Townsend said: “This is the first step for an exciting new future for the hotel. We know how popular the leisure area was for people from Sheffield and we are delighted that the facilities are up and running again under Phil and his team of six staff. We expect to announce the reopening and new branding of the hotel in a couple of weeks.”
The club is offering a monthly membership deal of £32.50 until the end of March and then £35 per month from April. The facilities are open from 6am to 10pm weekdays and 8am to 9pm at weekends. Free parking for three hours is available in the hotel’s parking areas.
The hotel is situated on Furnival Road, at Victoria Quays.
