The Master and Mistress Cutler of the Company of Cutlers in Hallamshire, spoke about the guide following its launch, saying: “Whilst you are out and about exploring and having fun, please don’t forget that by buying this book you are helping so many others who are less fortunate.”
Chloe Lowe, head of digital at Born + Raised, added: “From the ooooohs to the aaaaahs, the obvious to the obscure, the well-known to the hidden gem, whether you have an hour, an afternoon or a week, this guide will help you explore Sheffield’s multitude of treasures with your little adventurers.
“This guide has been created for you by Born + Raised as part of the 2019 Master Cutler's Challenge. As a local business in Sheffield, we’ve been gifted a £50 investment to raise as much money as possible for two local charities.
“Our inspiration comes from our own experiences as parents, aunties, uncles, friends and carers. And from our childhoods too. Inspiration for the book was sparked by a conversation about the Picasso Doves in the Peace Gardens – just one of Sheffield’s hidden gems. We wanted to bring together a guide that celebrated both the obvious and obscure to support two fantastic charities whilst helping parents to survive the summer!”
