The virtual show has been organised to give people the chance to showcase, not just their dogs but pets of all varieties - and possibly have their 2, 3 or 4 legged friends crowned the best in the county.

Entry for this competition begins on Monday, 20th July and will close Monday, 3rd August at 11.30pm. The judging will be held on Tuesday, 4th August for the winners to be announced on Wednesday, August 5th on the RSPCA Chesterfiled Facebook page and website.

Steph McCawley, Supporter Engagement Officer said: “This is a difficult time for all charities to source income, we are constantly looking at new ways to engage with the public that are fun, safe and do not put anyone in danger of contracting the coronavirus.

"We sadly had to make the decision to cancel our Fun Dog Show in June this year but really want to stay in touch with everyone and for the community to be mindful that the RSPCA Chesterfield and North Derbyshire Branch is continuing to support the RSPCA inspectors and care for the cats, dogs and rabbits who come to our trust.

“Therefore, we still need to be raising funds to support the running costs of the centre and what better way than to celebrate the dogs in our lives, as well as other pets of all shapes and sizes.

"This will be a fun event and will capture people’s imaginations as we invite your pets to strike a pose and show off their best side - by photograph or video!”
