Microsoft Flight Simulator allows people to pretend to be a pilot, flying their own aircraft from take-off to landing.
A Sheffield-based YouTube video-maker who goes by the name Relaxing Gaming has recorded footage of a journey across their home city, soaring over landmarks like Park Hill, Hillsborough Stadium and Bramall Lane, as well as countless homes in fine detail.

There are three varieties of the game available to play on PCs, including a premium edition that offers the full choice of 30 planes, from small propeller craft to a Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner.
“The invitation is here for anyone who’s ever dreamt of flying, exploring the world, or visiting your favourite destinations,” said Jorg Neumann, head of Microsoft Flight Simulator.
“We’ll see you at 30,000 feet.”
Relaxing Gaming’s other videos include ‘Flying over Rotherham’, ‘Las Vegas at Night’ and the panic-inducing ‘Engine Failure at 25,000 Feet’.
