Theatre Holiday Camp, Burton Street , Hillsborough
A Mind Apart children’s theatre group are running weekly sessions for children aged five to 13 during the school holidays, starting tomorrow, Wednesday.
The group are running a full day of performing arts activities from 9am to 3.30pm.
Project manager Natasha Jade McGowan said: “Of course, because we are A Mind Apart professional training in the arts will not be the only thing the students will receive. There will be a whole lot of fun to be had, confidence will be built, friendships will be forged, imaginations will be stretched, creativity will be pushed, mess will made and laughter will annoy all the neighbours.”
Children who take part will also have a chance to perform in the Heartbreak Productions version of Dracula in the Botanical Gardens, August 22 to 24, getting the chance to meet professionals in the business.
Natasha added: “A Mind Apart is dedicated to presenting performance and theatrical opportunities that are an integral part of the participant’s learning experience.
“ This is done with the belief that everybody should be able to participate in and have access to performance regardless of race, religion, gender, ability or financial status.
“This teaching is given in an environment where performance and theatre is used to challenge, teach and encourage the participants to become motivated in all areas of their lives.”
Book three or more sessions to receive a discount and a second sibling gets a 10% discount.
