The Illusionists will appear at Sheffield City Hall on Sunday, October 6.

They are The Enchantress Jinger Leigh, The Trickster Jeff Hobson, The Anti Conjuror Dan Sperry, The Escapologist Andrew Basso, The Inventor Kevin James and The Gentlemen Mark Kalin.

The Avengers of Magic, as creative director Simon Painter describes them, have been selling out venues all over the planet, from Sydney Opera House to Mexico City and Dubai.

Now they are about to bring their jaw-dropping magic show, performing some of the greatest tricks the world has ever seen, to Sheffield City Hall, on Sunday, October 6.

And we have five pairs of tickets to be won.

You’ll see acts of grand illusion, levitation, mind-reading, disappearance and you’ll even get to witness the impossible, as the poster says.

For the first time a water torture escape will be performed in full view.

This will recreate Harry Houdini’s death-defying routine, but with no drapes, for 21st century audiences.

The first 10 minutes is worth the ticket money alone, featuring seven of the greatest illusions, from making a woman vanish to a full-size steam train appear on stage. And it ends with a snow storm which fills the theatre.

Tickets for Sheffield City Hall’s two shows on October 6 – at 6pm then 9pm – are from £30 each, subject to a booking fee. Buy in person, call 0114 2789789 or visit For hundreds of events see
