Seats are for the performance at the Crucible’s Studio Theatre, on New Year’s Eve, Tuesday, December 31, at 11am.

The Boy Who Cried Wolf, perfect for families and children aged three-plus, lasts around 55 minutes without an interval and is on until Saturday, January 4.

Inspired by the famous Aesop fable, about the danger of giving false alarms, this is the well-loved tale of a young boy with a vivid imagination and a thirst for adventure.

Told against the backdrop of a winter wonderland, with bare trees, snow flurries and mysterious footprints, it is an ideal holiday treat.

Written by Mike Kenny, one of England’s most prolific playwrights, specialising in young people’s theatre, the production is brought to life by tutti frutti and York Theatre Royal, the same team behind last year’s hugely popular of Rapunzel.

Guarantee your tickets - priced £10 for adults and £6 for children. A family ticket is £25. Buy in person, call the Box Office on 0114 249 6000 or visit - booking fees may apply.
