IT is the magical story of a little boy who never grew up and for many adults this year’s panto in Rotherham gave them the chance to relive their childhoods.

With the Civic Theatre already alive with excited children in the run up to Christmas, the sell-out show had youngsters in the audience at fever pitch with its slapstick comedy generating laughs and spectacular flying scenes creating the wow factor.

Spillers Pantomimes’ version of the classic fairytale is brought bang up to date with modern day music including the popular Gangnam Style hit, which was played at intervals throughout the panto and each time had the audience on its feet recreating the popular dance moves.

From energetic acrobatic dance routines to impressive singing the professional pantomime generated applause from start to finish.

Whether it was Peter, played by Daniel Hope, flying onto the stage to make his grand entrance, or the audience ‘booing’ baddie Captain Hook, played by Mario Vernazza, there was something for everyone.

The show runs until January 13.
