Greatest hits show from Podfather comedian Richard

Have your say

King of the Edinburgh Fringe, Metro columnist and the UK’s Podfather (RHLSTP, AIOTM) picks his favourite routines from his 12 one-man shows and crams them into 90 minutes for your delectation.

From his deconstruction of the genealogy of Christ to him proving that racists are less racist than liberals, via some of the best knob jokes in the business.

Will your favourite routine make the cut?

This show is described as a great introduction to this influential cult comedian for the newcomer and a welcome greatest hits for long-term fans of his online podcast shows and blogs that he started writing in 2002.

The Guardian said the live show was “a gloriously infantile delight in mischief, provocation and inspired rudeness”.

Richard first came to popular attention when he was one half of comedy duo Lee and Herring with Stewart Lee, another hard-hitting and innovative comedian who has a fanatically loyal following for his live shows.

They had two popular TV series together in the 1990s, Fist of Fun and This Morning With Richard Not Judy.

More recently, he has appeared on the long-running BBC comedy panel game show Have I Got News For You.

Richard appears at the City Hall Memorial Hall on Thursday night at 8pm.
