Girl Power takes over at Sheffield Motorpoint Arena for five days from tomorrow as the latest Disney On Ice spectacular skates in celebrating 75-years of Disney princesses.

Dare to Dream, from tomorrow to Sunday, really is a case of girls just want to have fun.

Classic meets contemporary in a show that stars modern-day heroines Rapunzel and Tiana, plus the timeless elegance of Cinderella and – the princess who started it all – Snow White.

With a sprinkling of fairy dust and a heap of imagination, colourful costumes, spectacular lighting, dazzling effects and impressive, at times acrobatic skating, the audience is magically transported into the scenes of some of the greatest animated stories ever.

It’s schmaltzy, sparkly and super-sweet – but perfect harmless fun and the pre-Christmas treat for all the family.

Audiences arrive in New Orleans, where characters boogie to the beat of the bayou in a celebration of The Princess and the Frog, with Princess Tiana and Prince Naveen.

Then it’s off to the enchanted forest as Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs escape from the Evil Queen and she finds her one true love.

It continues as dreams become reality when Cinderella meets her Prince Charming, with a glass slipper fit for an unforgettable fantasy come true.

Rapunzel, star of Disney’s hair-raising escapade Tangled, discovers the world beyond her tower on her quest to see the floating lanterns.

Special guests are Disney royalty Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Pluto and all their pals.

Tickets are £14.85 to £41.80. Buy in person from the Box Office, call 0114 256 5656 or at www.motorpointarena sheffield.co.uk

n Disney On Ice returns to the Arena in November 2014 with 100 years of Magic. Tickets on sale spring 2014.
