Justin Moorhouse, Lamproom Theatre, Barnsley

The Manchester comedian and actor who was one of the stars of Channel 4’s classic sitcom Phoenix Nights has just extended the run of his Justin Time stand-up comedy tour.

He is to appear at the theatre in
Westgate, Barnsley this Thursday (September 5).

Following a critically-acclaimed performance in Two at Manchester’s Royal Exchange theatre and a brand new series of Everyone Quite Likes Justin on BBC Radio 4, Justin is back out on the road again.

He is known for being straight talking and his honest, warm-hearted humour may well include stories about owls, Family Fun Days, his dog and his kids.

Justin’s TV credits include playing Young Kenny in the classic Peter Kay comedy Phoenix Nights.

His character famously ended up with a permanent face painting after a family fun day at the Bolton club.

Justin’s other TV appearances include Michael McIntyre’s Comedy Roadshow – memorably having a laugh at the expense of Yorkshire folk – satellite channel Dave’s One Night Stand, quiz show 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Grumpy Guides and Shameless.

Justin also appeared in the 2009 Ken Loach feature film Looking for Eric.

His writing credits include satirical news programme The 11 O’Clock Show, 8 out of 10 Cats and critically-acclaimed radio comedy drama An Insurance Inspector Calls.

Tickets for the show, which starts at 7.30pm, are £12.
