AWARD-winning psychological drama Frozen returns Third Nail Theatre to Rotherham Civic Theatre on Thursday until Saturday.
The story by Yorkshire-born dramatist Bryony Lavery (Crucible, Beautiful Burnout) charts events following the disappearance of 10-year-old Rhona.
Her mother, Nancy, retreats into a state of frozen hope, Ralph, a loner with a bit of previous seeks distraction, and American psychologist Agnetha is in England to research her thesis.
Frozen is the chilling, powerful but compassionate tale of three lives drawn together in the face of tragedy. It explores our capacity for forgiveness, remorse and change after an act that seemingly rules them out, says co-director Ray Globe.
“With the Milly Dowler case in court and Madeline McCann back on front pages Frozen gives a timely glimpse into lives ‘behind the headlines’. We can’t promise a comfortable evening but we can promise a production you’re unlikely to forget.”
