5. Sean Bean
The award-winning actor grew up in Sheffield and attended Brook Comprehensive School - which unfortunately no longer exists. He went on to study welding at Rotherham College, before taking an art class and enrolling on a drama course at the college. The first British person and Western European woman to go to space, astronaut Helen was born in Grenoside, where she attended Grenoside Junior and Infant School.
