Tell us about blocked drains
SHEFFIELD residents are being urged to report blocked drains to council officials so they can be kept clear - following criticism after the June floods.
The ‘Gully Watch’ campaign has been launched by Sheffield Council’s Streetforce department to ensure the drainage system can be kept clean, preventing problems if future heavy rain occurs.
Some people had complained blocked drains exacerbated flooding and made the drainage of water from deluged areas take longer than it should have done.
Residents who want to report blocked gullies are asked to call the Street Force contact centre on 0114 273 4567.
