Team building for the future
A NEW Sheffield girls' football team is building for the future – thanks to the backing of a local construction company.
Darnall-based Throstles Junior FC Girls' team was formed after sponsorship from Wates Construction which has been working in the area for the Decent Homes scheme to upgrade council houses.
The Throstles club was established 37 years ago and the girls' team were formed this year.
The girls now plan to present the construction company with a replica Throstles shirt as a thank you.
