Take treasure to be valued
ANTIQUE lovers in South Yorkshire can get their family heirlooms valued – and raise money for a local cause at the same time.
The Darfield Area Amenity Society in Barnsley is hosting an antiques valuation evening to raise money for the restoration of Darfield's derelict Reading Rooms, built in 1879.
The evening starts at 7.30pm on Friday October 19, in Darfield Church Hall. Entry is 2, and there will be a 2 charge for each item valued.
