Straw field set alight
A FIELD in Bolsover was set alight deliberately as the farmer cut the straw.
Firefighters were called to the field on Mansfield Road after numerous blazed were spotted. The farmer had cropped the field for corn and was cutting the straw left behind.
Meanwhile nine bales of hay in a Sheffield field were set alight in an arson attack. Firefighters were called to land off Nether Lane, Ecclesfield, Sheffield, to deal with the blaze.
And an investigation is underway into the cause of a fire in a disused stable block in Sheffield.
