Live in Barnsley will be bigger and better than ever, according to the free music festival’s organisers.
Now in its third year, Live in Barnsley is taking place on June 20 at two additional venues in town.
One of the organisers, Dave Pearsall, said: “This means that the festival expands to 14 venues, 126 bands, over 500 musicians and the organisers are hoping that after last year’s sunny weather that brought over 4,000 music fans into town, will see even more people come along and join the fun.”
The organisers have also announced that Barnsley East MP Michael Dugher will join The Undertones singer Feargal Sharkey as a patron of the festival. Mr Dugher said: “It is a real honour to be involved in such a fantastic local event.”
