Sheffield choirs team up for special concert evening

Members of the public are invited to attend a special concert which will mark the Queen's 90th birthday and the 400th year anniversary of Shakespeare's death.

The City of Sheffield Teachers’ Choir have teamed up with the Chester-Le-Street Community Choir for the special celebration held at Wisewood Methodist Church on Saturday, July 9, at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced at £10 for adults and £8 for concessions. Ring 0114 2863251.

In addition, The City of Sheffield Teachers’ Choir is inviting new members to join.

The choir meets at St. Mary’s Church Centre on Bramall Lane on Thursday evenings at 7pm.

A spokesperson for the group said: “We are from all walks of life, not just teachers these days.”
