Shady chap Devvo's debut album
FROM Yorkshire To New York is the title of the debut album/DVD from Doncaster-based rapper MC DEVVO, out on Monday on Fat Pie Records.
Fresh from completing a UK tour with Sheffield's graffiti artist and rap laddo Kid Acne, Devvo is apparently enjoying praise from The Enemy to The Pigeon Detectives following Channel 4 and E4 appearances as part of youth magazine program Whatever and the mandatory boost from myspace and YouTube.
With the aid of musical partner DJ Shady Piez, the album follows a couple of limited edition vinyl singles, the first distributed solely through eBay in February.

Hide AdMC Devvo started out as a series of short documentary clips about the chav problem/scene in northern England on cult website www.Fat-Pie.com.
His first live appearance was at last years Beached Festival in Scarborough.
