Secure your garden sheds
WORKSOP residents are being urged to secure their garden sheds after a spate of break-ins over the past fortnight.
Nottinghamshire Police have had 29 reports of thefts from sheds across Worksop, Retford, Newark and Sherwood, where power tools, ladders and strimmers have been stolen.
Officers are urging people to join or form a Neighbourhood Watch group, fit shed alarms, ensure security lights illuminate sheds and to secure windows internally with steel mesh or bars.
They also suggest strengthening doors using a pad bar and closed shackle padlock.
