School plans on display

PARENTS can view designs for the rebuilding of four Sheffield secondary schools at an event in the city centre today and tomorrow.

Sheffield Council is spending grants of 141.5 million from the Government’s Building Schools for the Future programme to carry out the work at Newfield, Silverdale and Yewlands schools, and Talbot special school.

Coun Harry Harpham, Sheffield Council cabinet member for children’s services, said: “I’m sure people who go to look at these displays will be impressed with the designs.”

The plans will be on show in the Winter Gardens. Construction at each of the sites started in March.
