School invite for parents
ALONGSIDE the usual pencil case and calculator usually taken to school, South Yorkshire children are now being encouraged to bring along their parents!
The RA3 - Raising Aspirations, Attitudes and Achievements - project, launched by Sheffield Hallam University, aims to get more mums and dads involved with their children's schoolwork.
At more than 50 schools in the county, pupils and parents are being encouraged to attend family sessions where they can learn about subjects together.
The project is being funded by Yorkshire Forward.
