Rose garden for city park

A SHEFFIELD park is to have a new rose garden after volunteers made a successful application for a £10,000 National Lottery grant.

The Friends of Chapeltown and High Green Parks made a bid for the cash after conducting a survey of local people to find out what improvements they would like to see.

The money will now be spent creating the garden, in Mortomley Park, High Green.

A youth shelter will also be set up in the park for a three-month period.
