Rooftop ideas for green folk
HALLAM University is hosting a one day conference to show people how to turn their rooftops green.
Exhibitions and demonstrations at Saturday's event at the campus in Howard Street will show how easy and rewarding it is to build a roof garden.
Jeff Sorrill, project manager at the Green Roof Centre, said: "This conference is an excellent opportunity for people who are interested in making small-scale improvements to the environmental impact of their homes and offices."
There will be a presentation on the benefits of wildlife attracting plants either in the garden or on the roof.
