Rally thrills for Marie

A RIDE in a rally car was one of several prizes up for grabs at a raffle organised to raise money for the Derbyshire Air Ambulance.

The Mid-Derbyshire Motor Club hosted a display at the Chatsworth Rally Show where they ran the raffle and raised 1,100 for the County Air Ambulance Trust.

A host of motor-related prizes were on offer, including the top prize of a ride in a rally car, which was won by Marie Theobald, aged 22, from Chesterfield.

A high-speed lap of a track in a Lamborghini, and a painting of rally champ David Higgins, were just two of the other things to be won in the draw, which was drawn by former British rally champion Gwyndaf Evans.
