Pub extends opening time

OBJECTIONS lodged against a pub's bid to extend opening hours and host live music have been withdrawn.

The Vine Tavern on School Street, Mosborough applied to open from noon until 11pm Sunday to Thursday and until 12am on Fridays and Saturdays.

Landlady Lynne Hudson also applied for permission for live and recorded music but environmental health officer Jon Round raised fears about noise.

Chief fire officer Mark Smitherman also had "serious concerns" over insufficient fire exits if capacity was increased.

The case was due before Sheffield Council's licensing board but a spokesman said the problems had been resolved.
