£7m lottery win delight

CHESTERFIELD man Neville Fisher is rushing out to clear the shelves of car magazines - so he can get up to date on the latest models after scooping nearly £7 million on the EuroMillions Lottery!

Neville and his mum matched five numbers and a Lucky Star after buying a lucky dip ticket at Barlborough Post Office on the morning of the draw on Friday.

The retired oilfield construction worker didn't check his ticket until the next day - and was gobsmacked to discover they'd won a massive 6,989,367.40.

Neville said: "This win has come right out of the blue.

"I was at home on Saturday afternoon and thought I should check my ticket. When I realised I had won I was shocked and delighted - I still can't believe the size of the win."

He said that he and his mum, who because of her age has decided to remain anonymous, planned to buy a new house, but he said they would remain in the Chesterfield area to stay close to family and friends.

Neville, now a full-time carer, said he was planning to buy a new car to replace his old Renault that is fast approaching its MOT.

He said: "I've been thinking about swapping my car for a while and in the past I used to drive a Jaguar, they are lovely cars.

One of my first buys will be the motoring magazines to bring me up to date with the latest models."
