£5m HQ gets the city call

THIS state-of-the-art building is Sheffield firm Ant Marketing's new £5million headquarters - due to be built at Sheaf Quay before the end of 2008.

The five storey building will allow the firm to house its 400 call centre staff, who are currently based at locations around the city.

The stone and glass design for the centre aims to fit in with existing architecture at Sheaf Quay.

Les Sturch, head of planning for Sheffield Council, which has already granted approval for the scheme, said: "The decision reached by the board is in recognition of what the new facility represents in terms of investment and employment in this historic area of the city, combined with a fitting, high quality and contemporary design respecting the important setting of Sheaf Works."

Anthony Hinchliffe, managing director at Ant Marketing, said the centre would enable the company to attract and retain top quality staff because of the working environment.
