£3m facelift for Ponds Forge

THE leisure pool at Ponds Forge is due to close from the end of next month for up to five months as part of a £3m refurbishment.

It will close on November 26 and is expected to reopen before Easter next year.

Changes to the leisure pool will include updating the water slides and new changing rooms.

Ponds Forge general manager Helen Broadbent said: "The work to the leisure pool will ensure that the facility is of the highest possible quality for all visitors to enjoy.

"We have scheduled the work to take place during the quietest period for the leisure pool to ensure minimum disruption for centre users."
