£160,000 for play area
CHILDREN are enjoying brand new play equipment after £160,000 was in a Sheffield park.
The Gell Street park play area, off West Street, is used by children from the Broomsprings estate and Springfield School.
It also has a mini football pitch, popular with students, and has received floodlighting as part of the scheme. Safety and environmental improvements have also been made and better access created for disabled people.
The work has been funded by companies redeveloping surrounding sites for homes and businesses.
